Who is the winegrower?

Jean-Yves de Carlini

A superb champagne is… A balanced, complex, aromatic and light wine.

A good champagne producer… Loves his job, is rigorous in his job, is open to new techniques but honours the tradition. A great champagne producer guarantees quality.

What I still want to realize is… to develop an old cuvée, matured in oak barrels.

The vineyard that I would like to own is… mine, but divided in less parts.

My favourite champagne … Laurent-Perrier, Cuvée Grand Siècle in Magnum

My favourite beer … Tripel Karmeliet

The best move I’ve ever made… My Blanc de Noirs – Grand Cru

The best combination champagne/dish is… A Blanc de Noirs with fish (preferably lotte) in a creamy sauce.
